At the Park Lodge Project every penny we raise goes towards housing, supporting and educating our young people to give them the best chance possible of a better life.

Where we are

The local area is Clarendon Park just south of the city centre and Victoria Park. It is  a short bus ride from the city centre or you can walk there within half an hour.

It is a quiet neighbourhood, lived in by families, single people and students. Some people have lived here a long time. The area is interesting and diverse which is reflected in the different faith centres in the local streets.

The hub of Clarendon Park is the busy Queens Road with its coffee houses, post office, independent shops and plenty of places to eat and buy food, including a number of take-aways.

At certain times during the year the area is very lively. Each year there is a summer fair and a Christmas fair in Queens Road when local traders and crafts people sell their produce. In the summer for the last four years there has been a community arts festival, ArtBeat, which has showcased much of the local talent.

Park Lodge Project is very fortunate to be located here. A facility for young homeless people may not be popular among residents and traders in some neighbourhoods but in Clarendon Park, we feel welcome and safe. What more could you want from the place where you live?

We always welcome people’s interest in our work, so if you would like to find out more or help in some way or other, please get in touch. There will always be someone here ready to listen and talk.
